Give the Gift of Nature
Whether celebrating a joyous occasion or memorializing a loss, planting native wildflowers and trees offers a lasting tribute that heals our land and promotes an intimate bond between people and nature. Plantings can symbolize the perfect message for any occasion.
Preserve the character of Hopewell Valley.
A lasting gift of Inspiration.
All trees and native wildflowers are planted in local Hopewell Valley preserves, under the supervision of FoHVOS Stewardship Director Michael Van Clef, Ph.D.
There was a time when trees grew naturally to make forests! Currently, deer overpopulation virtually stops this from happening, and fields turn into dense tangles of invasive shrubs that deer don’t eat. Help restore forests in your honoree’s name and participate in our Community Conservation program to replant tree seedlings and wildflowers within a deer exclosure fence to jump-start nature’s own healing process. You have the option of volunteering on the planting days. Preserve Hopewell Valley for future generations! |
Your gift is truly special.
Our gift offering is one of a kind.
Preserving land, protecting natural resources and inspiring a new generation of conservation is our mission. Since FoHVOS is a 501c(3) nonprofit, the tribute gift is a charitable donation with the exception of the fair market value* of the tribute card package. We assemble and print our gift packages locally and create a beautiful framed card that is perfect to display. We hand write your personal message on an embossed note card and place it in its own kraft paper envelope, with a special embossed seal. You’ll love the finishing touch of the elegant tree of life charm. Pick up your package in our Titusville office at the Strawberry mansion atop Baldpate mountain or we can mail everything to your recipient. All materials are recycled. We usually process and ship orders within 2 business days.

We also offer customized plantings for $1,000. Contact us at 609-730-1560 or email us at info@fohvos.org to set up a customized planting of your choice!
* A receipt will be sent to you acknowledging your charitable donation. (There is a fair market value of $8 for each gift to cover card and mailing costs that is not apportion to FoHVOS mission work.)
Plantings are done at a local FoHVOS preserve within a deer exclosure fence to improve survival. Larger trees may be planted outside the fence with a tree protector tube.
Plantings do NOT include any personalized identification at the planting site. However, volunteers are invited to help FoHVOS help us plant at two tribute plantings per year.
“The planting of native trees and wildflowers on land that will be preserved forever is a perfect way to appreciate & respect the lives of seven people that I wanted to honor. Although there are no plaques placed on the land, I will be able to visit and remember them since the preserve is so close to my home.”
