Committed to the organization since holding the position of Development Director for one year, Judy Karp has been a member and trustee of FoHVOS since 2013. Currently, she is the Assistant Executive Director and Legal and Compliance Officer for New Jersey Infrastructure Bank, an independent State authority which provides low-cost financing to municipalities, counties, regional authorities and water purveyors in New Jersey for the construction of water quality and transportation infrastructure projects. Prior to her current position, she worked as an attorney at major law firms in New York City and Rochester New York with a primary practice in commercial litigation and was law clerk for a Federal District Court Judge in the Western District of New York.
Judy has been active in the Hopewell Valley community since moving to Hopewell Township in 1998. She served on the Hopewell Township Master Plan Advisory Committee which provided input into the 2002 Township Master Plan, which articulated a “water balance” model for preserving open space by basing zoning decisions upon the balance between the volume of water removed from groundwater supplies and the volume of water returned to groundwater supplies from rainfall, ponds, and innovative stormwater management techniques. Judy has served on the board of the Hopewell Valley Education Foundation from 2008 through 2012, and was an elected member of the Hopewell Valley School Board from 2005 to 2008. In 2014 she received the Hopewell Valley Education Foundation E2 Award which honors an individual and a corporation which have made significant contributions to the Hopewell Valley Public Schools.
Judy has resided in Hopewell Township since 1998 and has three children.
