Jaquan Levons

Jaquan Levons lived in a half-dozen states, the caribbean island of Antigua, and completed high school in the Adirondacks of New York as a navy brat before receiving his bachelors in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University in 2003.

Jaquan is a Principal Scientist at Bristol Myers Squibb where he has worked in various roles for the past 17 years, currently leading a team focused on exploring how digital technology can be applied to tomorrow’s drug products.  His team implements the use of augmented reality (AR) in the lab and pilot plant space, particularly effective in enabling scientists to support manufacturing efforts while working from home.  His team also researches the opportunity for leveraging 3D printed pharmaceuticals for personalized medicine.  He and his wife and three daughters have lived in Mercer County for 10 years, and have lived in Hopewell, NJ for the last 2.  Jaquan holds several formulation patents in drug product development, and publications in the use of automation in the product development space.

Jaquan serves as an Elder at Central-A Christ Centered Church, and was the most recent Director of Men’s Ministry. Jaquan is passionate about encouraging people of color to embrace the outdoors and discover nature. You can find him bike riding with his three girls on trails in the area.  He recently self-published a children’s book about his kids learning to ride their bikes.  Jaquan loves spending time manicuring his woodlands with his chainsaw, as well as camping, making s’mores, and building his children’s chicken coop.
