Cindy Srnka joined the FoHVOS team in 2021 as the Director of Development & Outreach. Having held various positions at Grounds For Sculpture for nine years, she offers extensive development experience in a museum/nonprofit environment.
She studied at Mercer County Community College and was later accepted to the University of Pennsylvania as a recipient of the Bread Upon the Water Scholarship, receiving a full academic scholarship. She is a current Bachelor of Arts candidate in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations with a minor in History/History of Art.
In addition to work and studies she contributes time to various archaeological projects at the Penn Museum, and is a field team member of the Bat Archaeological Project in Oman. She currently holds a position on the Penn Museum Student Exhibition team to work with Penn Museum staff in creating an exhibition for the 50th anniversary of the 1972 UNESCO Convention scheduled to open spring 2022.
Passionate about nature, wildlife and preservation, Cindy hopes to broaden the scope of awareness and accessibility to the many programs, and projects that FoHVOS contributes to the community that will help to inspire a new generation of conservation.
