FoHVOS is co-sponsoring a field trip with Washington Crossing Audubon Society on Saturday, April 20, at 7:00 AM, led by Sharyn Magee and Beth Craighead. Mount Rose Preserve consists of 387 acres of meadows, shrub land, and forest. On this walk we will be looking for a variety of early spring migrants. With the diversity of habitat, this is a naturalist’s treat.
Join us for our second season of Force of Nature Hikes! Romy Toussaint will be leading you through FoHVOS preserve trails while doing light yoga. Event is Open to the whole family!
The Ted Stiles Preserve at Baldpate Mountain boasts an abundance of spring-flowering plants, including mayapple, wild geranium, blackhaw viburnum, and many violets. This hike will train our eyes on plants big and small while noticing differences in flower and leaf characteristics.
